Bangladesh 40/2 (Shanto 17, Jamieson 1/10)
Bangladesh win the test by eight wickets.
Wrap: Well took about a turn up for the books. Bangladesh just completed a dominating, five-day performance to smash the world champions. The Blackcaps won the first two sessions of the test and maybe one more of the remaining 11. Superb result for the Tigers and if they can win the toss at Hagley Oval on a green top, they could easily turn that into a test series win.
New Zealand's middle and lower order just wasn't up to it throughout the match and scoring 328 when you are 189/2 just isn't good enough and that was the difference between the sides. Bangladesh turned a good start with the bat - 140/2 into 458 and batted the Kiwis out of the match.
We will be back next week for the second test in Christchurch.

Bangladesh second innings
Innings wrap - Bangladesh need just 40 to win for the first time against New Zealand in New Zealand and end a 17 match unbeaten steak on home soil for the Blackcaps.
New Zealand lost 5/22 this morning and 8/33 in about 21 overs in a horrific batting display. Superb from Ebadot and Taskin who got the ball to reverse - which is something that has been lost to the game in recent years. History awaits Bangladesh - Can the Blackcaps send a few jitters with three or four quickies? Probably not.
11:54am - 74th over
Mehidy replaces Taskin.
Wicket: That's it. Boult down the wicket and whacks this to mid-wicket and Islam takes a stunning catch just short of the rope to wrap up the innings.

Taskin to continue - NZ's lead is 30.
Wicket: Bowled him! Late swing into Southee and Southee is nowhere and he is on his way for a duck.
Tim Southee b Taskin Ahmed 0 FOW 161/9
Boult struck on the pads to an in-ducker from Taskin but Gaffney says no. That was close but no reviews.
11:31am - 69th over
Ebadot continues.
Maiden over.
11:24am - 68th over
Taskin continues.
Wicket: Ravindra goes! Loose drive outside off but he can only get an edge through to Das - awful shot.
New Zealand have lost 6/24.
Rachin Ravindra c †Liton Das b Taskin Ahmed 16 FOW 160/8
11:18am - 67th over
Ebadot to continue - just quietly - he's a genuine chance for a nine wickets here.
Close! Ravindra edges between the keeper and a wide first slip and has four.

The destroyer! Ebadot Hossain will open up from the other end. 4/39 so far.

Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the opening Blackcaps v Bangladesh test at Mt Maunganui's Bay Oval.
After Devon Conway's century set the tone for New Zealand on the opening day, the tourists fought back valiantly on Sunday, wrapping up the home team's lower order cheaply and laying a strong foundation to challenge a 328-run target.
That fight-back continued on Monday, with the Tigers batsman frustrating and denying New Zealand, earning a first innings lead of 130.
Then Bangladesh completely flipped the match on it's head with three wickets in three overs on Tuesday evening thanks to an incredible spell of bowling from Ebadot Hossain.
The Blackcaps will resume day five on 147/5 - just 17 runs in front with a full day of cricket to play.
Ross Taylor, Rachin Ravindra and New Zealand lower-order are going to need to bat out at least half the day to have any hope of saving the test match.
Play resumes at 11am
