Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Northern Quad Series clash between the Silver Ferns and hosts England at London's Copper Box Arena.
After their comprehensive loss to Australia in their tournament opener on Sunday, world champions New Zealand face a must-win encounter with the Roses, who accounted for South Africa 71-47.
While international netball has been at a premium during the COVID-19 pandemic, these two rivals have actually seen a considerable amount of each other over the past two years, with England visiting New Zealand twice during that time.
On their last trip, they shocked an inexperienced Ferns line-up with a 2-1 series victory and will likely prove even tougher to beat on home soil.
NZ coach Dame Noeline Taurua was unimpressed with her team's 14-goal defeat by the Diamonds, describing the performance as a "schooling" and a "hiding".
Still missing veteran stars like defenders Katrina Rore and Jane Watson, and captain Ameliaranne Ekenasio - all on maternity leave - Taurua still has a raw squad, which sees only new captain Gina Crampton return from the starting line-up that won a World Cup three years ago.
Exposing these rookies to the world's best opposition can only help their long-term development, but that may not help much over the next few days at London.
Another loss would probably see the champions relegated to a third/fourth playoff game against the Proteas on Thursday (NZ time).
TAB Odds: England $1.22, New Zealand $3.80
