The Blackcaps will open the 2022 T20 World Cup against defending champions Australia in a rematch of last year's final.
Released on Friday, the schedule for the 2022 tournament pits New Zealand v Australia opener at Sydney on October 22 and India v Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
The opening match gives the Blackcaps the chance for revenge, after their eight-wicket defeat at Dubai last November.
The NZ men will also face Afghanistan at Melbourne on October 26 and England at Brisbane on November 1, as two other confirmed Group One fixtures of the Super 12 stage.
New Zealand's final two matches of the Super 12 stage, scheduled for Sydney on October 29 and Adelaide on November 4, will be played against two sides still to qualify.
The T20 World Cup will be played from October 16-November 13, with Melbourne hosting the final, and Sydney and Adelaide hosting the two semis.
The tournament was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Group Two of the Super 12 stage consists of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa and two qualifiers.
The qualifying tournament will see Sri Lanka, West Indies, Scotland, Namibia and four more teams yet to book their spots compete for a place in the final dozen.
