Three athletes will represent New Zealand at the Winter Paralympics, buoyed by recent Kiwi success on the Beijing slopes.
Three para alpine skiers will wear the Silver Fern in Beijing, with Adam Hall and Corey Peters returning to the New Zealand team, joined by Aaron Ewen making his Games debut.
"Corey, Aaron and Adam have proven their courage, skill and determination to be selected to the New Zealand Paralympic Team for Beijing," says NZ Chef de Mission Jane Stevens.
"Being selected for the Paralympic Winter Games is an enormous achievement in itself; to get to the Winter Paralympics during the pandemic has been even more challenging.
"I am thrilled that these three talented Para athletes will be representing our nation in just over a week in Beijing."
Hall will compete in the standing category in what will be his fifth Winter Paralympics, and will target adding to his two gold medals, won at Vancouver in 2010 and Pyeongchang 2018 - both in the slalom standing event.
The 34-year-old also won bronze in the super combined standing event at Pyeongchang, and enters the Winter Paralympics after winning a slalom standing silver medal at last year's world championships in Norway.
Peters, 38, is another returning to the Winter Olympics, and will target more medals for his personal collection after winning a giant slalom silver at Sochi in 2014, and bronze at Pyeongchang.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old Ewen will make his Winter Paralympics debut, after injury ruled him out of doing so on the eve of the Pyeongchang Games four years ago.
The Winter Paralympics will see five Para alpine events contested, with the three Kiwi athletes to compete across speed and technical disciplines.
The Beijing Winter Paralympics begin on March 5.
