Ryan Fox holds a three-shot lead at the halfway stage of the European PGA Tour's Ras Al Khaimah Classic in the UAE.
After shooting a first round score of nine-under complete with 10 birdies, 35-year-old Fox consolidated his place atop the leaderboard with another birdie-laden round.
The Kiwi shot a three-under 69 in his second round, albeit a frustratingly inconsistent one containing six birdies and three bogeys.
Starting on the front nine, Fox shot birdies on the sixth and ninth holes to reach the halfway mark of his second round at two-under, and 11-under for the tournament.
But a bogey on the 12th hole put paid to the notion of a blemish-free round, only for Fox to make amends with three straight birdies on the 13th, 14th and 15th.
Another bogey, this time on the 16th, was cancelled out by a birdie on the 17th - only for one final bogey on the final hole of the day.
At 12-under, Fox holds a three shot lead over the chasing pack at nine-under, with a six-way tie for second place behind him.
Australia's Jason Scrivener, Spain's Pablo Larrazabal, Italy's Francesco Laporta and South African trio Justin Harding, Zander Lombard and Oliver Bekker all currently share second spot on the leaderboard.
Bekker in particular had a second round to remember, with his 10-under 62 bettering the course record at Al Hamra Golf Club - the same record Fox equalled in his first round on Friday (NZ time).
