Live updates: Beijing Winter Olympics - Kiwis Zoi Sadowski-Synnott in snowboard big air final, Alice Robinson in downhill alpine skiing final, Finn Bilous, Ben Barclay in freeski slopestyle qualification

Men's freeski slopestyle qualifiers (Kiwis Finn Bilous and Ben Barclay)

7:45pm - That will do it - Ben Barclay has locked up a place in the slopestyle final on Wednesday.

He finishes in 7th with scores of 76.00 and 77.71.

Not the best day out for Bilous, who finishes 15th wth a top score of 68.00 to miss out on the final.

7:30pm - Ben Barclay up for his last run, looking to cement his place in the final.

Finishes with a double cork 1620 to round out another confident run for the Aucklander.

To the judges we go... 77.71! That's his best of the day and moves him back up to 7th, all but locking him in for the final.

7:10pm - Here comes Finn Bilous.

A couple of little slips on the rail and a shaky landing sees him with a score of 32.85 and drops him back outside the qualifying 12 to 13th.

The Kiwi holds up his hands in frustration. That's the end of his Olympics.

6:46pm - Run 1 is completed, and Ben Barclay in 7th seems set to advance to the final as part of the top 12.

Bilous sits in 11th, he'll need to dig deep here in the second and final run to keep himself in play for the final.

6:17pm - Kiwi Ben Barclay set for his first run...

Stylish run from the Aucklander - huge double cork 1440, double cork 1260, then finishing with a 1620. Big thumbs up from Ben at the bottom.

To the judges now...76.00! Solid first run for Barclay, puts him in seventh place.

5:56pm - Finn Bilous about to make his first run.

Really clean run for the Kiwi and he's cleary pleased with it, finishing with a huge smile on his face. Plenty of variation with his spins.

Score of 68.01, good enough for sixth among the 11 athletes who have made their first run.

Ben Barclay will have his chance soon, eight skiers ahead of him.

5:40pm - No weather issues over at the slopestyle course. Kiwis Bilous and Barclay will be up shortly for their first run.

5:32pm - No podium for Robinson today unfortunately, but undoubtedly a great learning experience for the talented 20-year-old.

Switzerland's Corrine Suter is currently in pole position for gold.

We'll head over to the men's freeski slopestyle qualifiers shortly, where Kiwis Finn Bilous and Ben Barclay will try to secure a place in the final.

5:25pm - Robinson out of the gates!

She's a bit bouncey over these edges.

Finishes with a time of 1m 35.57s. That places her 20th of the 21 competitors so far, 3.7s off the pace.

5:02pm - It's all Italy so far, with Italians occupying the top three spots.

Kiwi Robinson's time to shine is now 10 runs away.

4:41pm - We're finally underway here in Beijing. Conditions looked to have cleared considerably.

Five athletes have made their runs, with Kiwi Robinson biding her time at 23 in the order.

4:20pm - Rough conditions at Beijing mean the start of Robinson's alpine downhill final has been delayed until 4:30pm (NZ time). Stay with us.

4pm - Right, let's move acrooss to Alice Robinson now - where she'll chase a medal in the alpine skiiing downhill.

Women's snowboard big air final standings:

95.50 for Gasser and she's into the lead!

Nope, bronze medal it is for the 17-year-old.

Gasser next, then Zoi.

3:31pm - Hold tight guys, three riders to come before we can call it Sadowski-Synnott's gold.

3:27pm - Halfway through the field in this final run and the top three are unmoved. The top two scores of each riders' three runs combine for their final score.

3:22pm - Nothing to upset the top of the table through the start of this third and final run. Three of 12 riders completed.

Sadowski-Synnott will have the luxury of going last once again.

3:13pm - Sadowski-Synnott with a slim 0.25 lead over the Austrian Gasser.

This final run should be superb.

3:12pm - Second run now for Sadowski-Synnott....backside 1080, playing it smart to get the score on he board, knowing she has somehting left in the chamber for the final run.

Judges say 83.75 and she's back in the lead! Final run set to begin.

3:08pm - Sadowski-Synnott sitting pretty after her first run. She's up next.

3:02pm - Aussie Coady lands another biggy to move into third on aggregate.

Five more riders until Sadowski-Synnott attempts her second.

3pm - The local hero Ge Rong goes large for an 85.75.

2:51pm - Ominous opening effort from the Kiwi, who still has plenty of room to dig deeper into her bag of tricks.

Run two beginning now.

2:49pm - Crisp opening jump by Sadowski-Synnott, making it look far too easy. Three full rotations with the 1080 with a melon grab and stomps the landing.

Judges say....93.25! Rockets to first place at the end of round one.

2:48pm - The 17-year-old Japanese rider Murase scores an 80.00

Zoi up next!

2:45pm - Plenty of support on hand for Sadowski-Synnott from her teammates. She'll be up very shortly.

2:43pm - Nasty crash by Japan's Onitsuka, lands right on the knuckle and comes up clutching her wrist. We may have an early scratch.

2:41pm - Austria's Anna Gasser sends an early message with a big score of 90.00 to shoot to the top of the table.

2:39pm - Smooth effort from Aussie Tess Coady to take the lead.

2:34pm - Nervy start to proceedings, competitors just looking to get a score on the board.

Canada's Jasmine Baird takes the early lead after four jumps with a score of 68.75

2:31pm - Conditions ideal at Beijing today. Just a light wind and 'bluebird' - as the snow enthusiasts say.

2:26pm - Sadowski-Synnott's top place in qualifying means she'll have the luxury of going last in each of the three runs - 12th of 12.

2:15pm - Afternoon, sports fans! Fingers crossed for some more gold for New Zealand in Beijing, as Zoi Sadowski-Synnott lines up as the frontrunner in the women's big air event.

The 20-year-old sent a warning to her rivals in Monday's qualifiers, when she topped the table with a trio of jaw-dropping moves.
