It's been an emotional day for the McLaughlin family, following son Scott's maiden IndyCar victory in the season opener at St Petersburg.
The 28-year-old led from the front and held off reigning champion Alex Palou to claim his first win of the series.
The win had his proud parents counting down the days until they can see their son for the first time in over two years.
The win was a moment McLaughlin has been longing for.
And back home in Cambridge, parents Wayne and Dianne enjoyed his first IndyCar win as much as he did.
It was emotional enough watching the replay, but during the race it was a different story.
"We were pacing, both of us, we were pacing," says mum Dianne.
"We were silent," adds dad Wayne. "We weren't saying nothing."
But they had every reason to cheer. After starting on pole for the first time in his IndyCar career, McLaughlin showed he's a quick learner.
In his second season in the US after leaving Australia's Supercars series, McLaughlin drove the perfect race to hold off Palou over the final few laps.
And now, the 28-year-old has put the rest of the circuit on notice.
"To get a race win as well, it's like winning lotto," says Wayne. "It was amazing."
While he's celebrating his win, it's been hard for McLaughlin, who hasn't seen his family for nearly two-and-a-half years.
"I miss my mum and dad dearly, I wish you guys were here," he said post-race.
"After a while, Facetime doesn't do it," says Dianne. "You just wanna give him a hug."
That hug will happen in May, at the Indy500.
"It just can't come quick enough," says Wayne.
Until then Facetime will have to do.
