The All Blacks will make their highly anticipated return to South Africa later this year.
South Africa Rugby has announced its 2022 home schedule, which includes two Rugby Championship tests against their age-old rivals.
The All Blacks haven't played in South Africa since 2018, when they escaped with a 32-30 win at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
The All Blacks will face the hosts at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on August 7 (NZ time), then a week later Johannesburg on August 14.
But SA Rugby's chief executive Jurie Roux warns the fixtures would depend on the progress made with the COVID-19 situation in the country.
"Pending the return of crowds to our tests and with the COVID-19 pandemic still presenting challenges throughout the world, we understand the fluid nature of match schedules," says Roux.
"But it is important for us that the team face quality opposition as we gear up to the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France."
One of the most famous rivalries in rugby, the All Blacks and South Africa played their 100th test against each other last year, when a late Jordie Barrett penalty clinched New Zealand a 19-17 win in Townsville.
A week later, South Africa bounced back to claim a nail-biting 31-29 win on the Gold Coast.
