NZ Breakers have gone down 95-85 to Perth Wildcats in their Australian NBL clash at RAC Arena on Sunday.
Just days after losing an epic overtime duel with their longtime rivals, the Breakers couldn't capitalise on another strong start.
Leading by six points at halftime, the Breakers shot poorly in the third quarter to allow the Wildcats to capture the momentum and the lead, which they rode through to an ultimately comfortable win.
It was another encouraging effort from the Breakers since they returned to full strength against one of the league's best sides, but nevertheless, consigns them to the bottom of the competition standings.
Point guard Peyton Siva was one of the Breakers' best, scoring an efficient 13 points with nine assists, five rebounds and two steals.
Big man Yannni Wetzell continued his consistent play with 15 points and six rebounds, while Finn Delany added 14 points.
Wildcats forward Vic Law haunted the Breakers again with 26 points, 12 rebounds and three assists, while star guard Bryce Cotton delivered 25 points and six assists.
The Breakers move on to face Brisbane Bullets on Thursday.
