Former All Black and NRL star Sonny Bill Williams has again teased the prospect of a high-profile bout with former rugby league rival - ex-New South Wales Origin captain Paul Gallen.
Williams, 36, made short work of ex-Australian rules footballer Barry Hall, defeating his 45-year-old opponent with a first-round knockout at Sydney.
The win moves Williams' record as a pro boxer to 9-0, returning to the ring in June 2021 with a victory over Waikato Falefehi, after retiring from rugby league.
But the win only adds fuel to the fire in the 'will they? won't they?' saga between Williams and Gallen, who've spent most of the last decade teasing a bout.
In the latest chapter, Williams suggested Gallen, 40, could be the next fighter on his hit-list, before tempering any expectations.
"There's talk of Gallen, so maybe Gallen?" Williams hinted after his victory.
"But at the same time for me, I feel like I'm an all-rounded person. There has to be some element of giving back, which gives me the happiness and contentment I yearn for.
"I can't wait to get home and see my beautiful little kids - Iman, Aisha, Zaid and Essa. They're all sleeping, but they can all see it when they get older."
Williams' training camp for the Hall fight saw him relocate to Morecambe, England, where he trained at WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury's gym, alongside Kiwis Joseph Parker and David Nyika.
And in his post-match address, Williams thanked his camp before acknowledging the efforts of Hall in accepting the bout.
"Big shout out back home to the UK," Williams adds. "Tyson Fury and Joe Parker, they called me just before the fight - I appreciate you guys, much love.
"For me, I always say there's a reason only one percent of people do this type of stuff.
"Much respect to Barry and his team for coming here and doing this. Man, it was hella nervous before the fight.
"For me, the glory is being able to propel the sport and help youngsters come through and reach their dreams."
