Kiwi snowboard star Zoi Sadowski-Synnott has continued her winning ways with victory at the Natural Selection event at the Baldface Lodge at British Columbia, Canada.
Competing at her first event since winning a gold and a silver medal at the Beijing Winter Olympics last month, Sadowski-Synnott topped the podium at the freeriding event, where competitors tackle a 40–degree slope littered with huge natural drops and deep powdery snow.
In the semi-finals Sadowski-Synnott worked her way through the variable snow at the top of the venue, finding her stride further down where the snow changed to powder.
Qualifying first, the 21-year-old went head-to-head with American Elena Hight in the final showdown, linking together some huge features towards the end of her second run to score a title-winning score of 90.00.
Sadowski-Synnott now advances to the finals in Alaska next week, but the event will be held under merago until early April.
