NZ Warriors coach Nathan Brown has calmed any fears over the fitness of key players Shaun Johnson and Josh Curran after the pair picked up knocks in Sunday's 22-14 defeat to Sydney Roosters.
On top of the Warriors' controversial defeat at the Sydney Cricket Ground, concerns to Johnson and Curran would have compounded the Kiwi side's woes heading into next week's Anzac Day clash against Melbourne Storm.
Curran appeared to suffer a knock to his shin, while Johnson was pictured holding his knee in the later stages of Sunday's defeat.
Another injury for Johnson would be far from ideal for the Warriors, with their first choice No.7 having already been forced out of action this season with a pectoral tear.
Speaking post-match though, Brown said neither Johnson nor Curran had suffered any kind of serious injury - with no concern over their availability for next week's showdown against the Storm.
"I think they're more just clashes, from what I understand," Brown said. "I don't think there's anything structural we need to worry about at this stage.
"Unless something's changed, I think they're OK."
Brown also added he'd be disappointed to see Roosters forward Victor Radley be hit with a suspension after he was placed on report for a hit on Warriors winger Edward Kosi.
Radley is no stranger to the NRL's judiciary, including being placed on report four times in one match against Brisbane Broncos last year - which earned him a five-game ban.
But for Brown, the circumstances of the hit on Kosi were mitigating enough to see Radley cleared to escape suspension.
"I understand we should have got a penalty, we should have got a free change, [but] they can't suspend that bloke for that," Brown said.
"Ed was on the ground. I understand we've got [a] concussion and things [but] you can't suspend Victor Radley for that, you can't possibly.
"I'm not sure what Victor's supposed to do there."
