The All Blacks Sevens are through to the semi-finals of the Singapore Sevens, after a 22-14 win over Samoa in their quarter-final on Sunday.
Trailing by two points with under two minutes remaining in the match, the Olympic silver-medallists struck twice in quick succession to steal victory and advance to the final four.
Moses Leo, Brady Rush, Caleb Tangilau and Kitiona Vai all featured on the try-scoring sheet for the New Zealanders, while Steve Rimoni scored both of Samoa's tries.
The team are playing their first World Series event for over two years due to travel complications caused by COVID–19.
They beat Argentina, Wales and Scotland on Saturday to finish top of Pool C.
The Kiwis advance to play the Ireland for a place in the final later on Sunday.
