All Blacks Sevens have been knocked out of the Vancouver Sevens, after a 19-12 quarter-final defeat to Australia on Sunday (NZ time).
Going into halftime with a 12-0 lead, the New Zelanders seemed on track to advance to the final four, only for the Australians to run in three second-half tries to power to victory.
Brady Rush opened the scoring for the All Blacks Sevens, breaking two tackles deep in his own half and going 80 metres to run in a spectacular try.
Two minutes before the interval, Tone Ng Shiu ran a superb inside line of support to dot down in the corner to send his side.
But the momentum instantly swung to start the second half, as Ben Marr quickly got his team on the scoreboard.
Corey Toole then ran in a brace of tries to give Australia the lead, while the New Zealanders couldn't find the response they needed in the final two minutes of the match.
On Monay, All Blacks Sevens beat England 34-5 in the fifth-place semi-finals, before losing 17-15 to South Africa, cementing a sixth-placed finsih for the tournament.
They'll have their next opportunity to win their first event since their long hiatus at Toulouse, France next month.
