The Goodhue family make no bones over which brother they'll back in Super Rugby Pacific this weekend, when Jack's Crusaders host Josh's Blues at Christchurch's Orangetheory Stadium.
In a clash of the two best NZ Super Rugby sides, the second-placed Blues visit the third-placed Crusaders on Friday night, with the winners to claim Kiwi bragging rights, before the competition opens up into its trans-Tasman element.
But while the battle of the best will undoubtedly dominate this week's headlines, a sibling match-up between the two Goodhues could simmer away in the background.
After a torrid run of injuries in recent years, Blues lock Josh Goodhue is enjoying a successful season with the Blues, featuring in five of his team's seven matches so far.
Twin brother Jack is no certainty to play, after spending a year on the sidelines with a knee injury and only returning to Christchurch club rugby last weekend.
But the rest of the Goodhue family have nailed their colours to the mast over which brother they prefer to take the spoils on Friday.
"We actually just had a family chat last night, with all the siblings," Josh Goodhue said. "Everyone was backing the Blues and had their blue colours on.
"He [Jack] was a little bit cut, I'm not gonna lie, but coming from a Northland family, it's pretty clear who everyone cheers for.
"Obviously, he's got the better of the games in the past, but hopefully, we can make that right on the weekend."
If the Blues need any inspiration to beat the Crusaders, they need look no further than lock Luke Romano in his first season in Auckland, after more than 100 games in red and black.
Even at the age of 36, Romano's presence has been invaluable for the Blues, with the 31-test All Black proving his worth among his new teammates.
"He's gold for us," Goodhue said. "Just how many years he's been in the game, his experience… any situation, he's been in it.
"Every week, he adds something new. For me personally, [he's] helping me with my lineout calling, how I lead the lineout - it's been so important for my growth.
"You can kind of see it in his game and he's spoken about it, he feels re-energised up here. It's a new challenge for him and the way he's playing - for an old fella - is pretty impressive."
And as for Romano's motivation to face his former teammates, Goodhue adds the veteran is pulling out all the stops to earn his place in this week's side.
"You should have seen him in the gym this morning - I've never seen him lift so much tin."
