Second half
40th minute - Reds win a penalty outside their own 22. Creighton finds touch on the Highlanders 10 and they win the lineout, but Scott Young has the ball stripped in a tackle and the Highlanders have taken a gutsy consecutive win to improve their standing on the table.
39th minute - Highlanders win a scrum outside their 22 and kick ahead. Garden-Bachop and Gregory chase, but Reds recover near their own line.
37th minute - Reds win the lineout and camp outside the Highlanders 22, but a loose pass provides a turnover for the Highlanders.
36th minute - Reds pounce on a loose pass and kick ahead. Garden-Bachop is back to tidy up, but a big gain for the Reds.
35th minute - Highlanders win a long throw to the lineout and maul towards the 22, soaking up time.
33rd minute - Highlanders snaffle a long throw to the lineout and Fakatava kicks towards the goal-line. Campbell runs it out, but he's caught only a few metres out.
32nd minute - Highlanders control the box kick and Fakatava boots downfield, where Campbell is safe. Creighton kicks to Garden-Bachop, who finally finds touch towards the Reds 22.
31st minute - Reds have the scrum feed and are still trying to break out. Campbell threatens to find a way through.
30th minute - Reds turn the ball over and try to bust out of their half, but the ball is knocked on.
29th minute - Creighton makes a big mistake, taking a Highlanders kick into touch, and the Kiwis win the lineout on the Reds 10.
27th minute - TRY to Fakatava
Banks kicks to the corner and Highlanders win a lineout. The forwards pour towards the line and Fakatava dives over from the back of the ruck.
Banks converts and Highlanders lead beyond the converted try, HIG 27-19
25th minute - Highlanders win a lineout on halfway and pour onto attack. Fakatava darts right and Highlanders have a penalty.
24th minute - Reds enter the Highlanders 22, but the Highlanders steal the ball and win a clearing penalty.
23rd minute - Highlanders control the kickoff, but Fakatava's clearance barely reaches his 22.
21st minute - TRY to Gregory
Ainsley and Lienert-Brown crashe towards the posts, where a deft behind-the-back pass from Fakatava puts Gregory over by the posts. Banks converts, HIG 20-19
20th minute - Highlanders win a lineout on the 22 and rumble forward. Umaga-Jensen threatens to break through in midfield.
18th minute - Fakatava changes direction with a backhanded pass to Garden-Bachop, Marshall handles two or three times.
Fakatava finds Renton and Lienert-Brown is pulled down metres short, but loses the ball and Creighton clears his in-goal area.
17th minute - Highlanders win a lineout and Harmon surges to the 22.
16th minute - Mikaele Tu'u makes a bumping run over halfway, Fakatava has replaced Aaron Smith and Highlanders have a penalty on halfway.
Marty Banks has replaced Hunt and kicks to touch.
14th minute - TRY to Smith
Reds building phases, Stewart stumbles towards the posts. Smith eventually picks up the ball and dives over untouched.
Creighton converts, RED 19-13
13th minute - Reds shift left, where Vunivalu looks dangerous. Flook enters the 22.
12th minute - Highlanders have a throw on their 22, with Marshall replacing Coltman. Smith puts up another high kick...
11th minute - From the kickoff, Smith's high kick goes straight up in the air, but it bounces off Petaia's head and Smith can clear a little further this time.
Petaia makes another charge down the left touchline, but he's hauled in and the Highlanders turn over the ball. Smith clears to halfway.
10th minute - Hunt slots the goal and, incredibly, Highlanders have the lead, HIG 13-12
Eighth minute - De Groot throws a no-look pass to his backs. Harmon enters the 22 and Highlanders can take the lead here - they win a penalty in front of the posts.
Seventh minute - Coltman throws to a lineout near halfway and HIghlanders to onto attack.
Sixth minute - Highlanders win a clearing penalty, as the scrum wheels.
Fifth minute - Reds win a lineout in the 22, but the maul goes nowhere. McDermott sends Vunivalu on a run.
On advantage, Creighton kicks across the field, but the Highlanders stymy that move and Reds have an attacking scrum.
Third minute - Wilson is carted off the field and Scott Young replaces him. Highlanders have the ball and Harmon surges over halfway, but a loose pass results in a penalty for the Reds.
Second minute - Petaia surges down the left sideline and kicks ahead for Wilson to chase. He's flattened metres from the tryline and Highlanders win a penalty.
Wilson is out for the count, after hitting his head on the ground in Harmon's tackle.
First minute - Campbell kicks off and Dickson rises high to claim the kick. Smith puts up a box kick. Gilbert collides with Creighton in mid-air and is penalised.
Gilbert prevents the touchfinder from finding the line and Highlanders clear near halfway.
Halftime
40th minute - Highlanders could be leading, if Hunt was better off the tee tonight, but he sneaks this one inside the left upright, as the siren sounds for halftime, RED 12-10
39th minute - Highlanders win a penalty in front of the posts and three points here would set them up well for the second half.
38th minute - Creighton's kick is charged down and Reds are on the back foot. Gregory makes a nice run and Highlanders rumble towards the 22.
37th minute - From the scrum, Vunivalu hits the ball up in midfield and Reds try to find a way over halfway.
36th minute - Highlanders win their scrum and Hunt throws a long pass to Gregory. Coltman rumbles across halfway, but Harmon spills the pass.
34th minute - Highlanders gather the kickoff and Smith puts up a high kick. The ball bounces back to the Highlanders, but McDermott reads a blind pass from Lentjes and scampers away to score.
Berry still not convinced there's not a knock-one in there and sure enough, they find one from Petaia.
32nd minute - TRY to Umaga-Jensen
Gregory barely gathers a pass over his head and Highlanders enter the 22. Umaga-Jensen receives the ball flatfooted and beats five defenders to score.
Hunt converts from in front of the posts, RED 12-7
31st minute - Highlanders must score next. Mikaele Tu'u claims a long kick and runs it back.
Highlanders stream over halfway.
29th minute - TRY to Flook
Playing under advantage, Creighton kicks to the goal area, and Flook soars over Hunt to claim the catch and score. Highlanders probably lucky not to go back for the penalty, because they've conceded some quick ones and might have lost another player.
Creighton converts from wide out, RED 12-0
28th minute - Mikaele Tu'u returns, so the Highlanders have handled that period of short numbers well.
Reds win a lineout and pour towards the posts.
27th minute - Reds with the lineout and drive towards the Highlanders 22. They shift right and Highlanders are called offside.
25th minute - Smith puts a kick up and McDermott sends McReight through a gap. Highlanders recover the ball and Hunt puts a kick ahead, but he's called for a high tackle on the scrambling defender.
24th minute - Dickson is back on the field, so the Highlanders have 14 players now.
McDermott puts another box kick up and Hunt sends Garden-Bachop into the collision.
21st minute - Highlanders keeping the ball in hand and winning a penalty advantage. Hunt puts up a high kick, but nothing comes of it and Berry brings them back.
Hunt lines up a kick at goal to burn up some time before Dickson returns. He hooks this one wide left.
20th minute - Reds claim the kickoff and Creighton chips into Highlanders territory, but Garden-Bachop angles his kick for a Highlanders 50-22 throw.
17th minute - TRY to Campbell
Reds back on attack and Campbell finds a wide gap in the defensive line to cruise to the corner. Creighton can't bring his sideline conversion back between the posts, RED 5-0
16th minute - Coltman's throw is stolen by the Reds and McDermott puts up a box kick. Smith returns the favour and Campbell is upended in the tackle, Berry awards the penalty and shows Mikaele Tu'u also gets a yellow card.
Highlanders down to 13.
15th minute - Highlanders win a scrum penalty on their 22 and Hunt clears to halfway.
13th minute - Reds have a lineout in the Highlanders 22 and win it. They can't progress the maul, so release it left.
McReight tries to put Wilson through a gap, but the pass is behind its target.
12th minute - Reds win a lineout on halfway and rumble into Highlanders half, winning another penalty. Berry is reviewing something...
Dickson is in more trouble here, fresh off a supension for a high tackle, he's hit Fotuaika with a shoulder to the head and gets a yellow card.
11th minute - Gregory chips ahead, but the ball drifts over the left touchline and Reds have an attacking lineout.
Smith spills the ball and Aaron Smith feeds Hunt to clear.
10th minute - Highlanders drop out and Petaia runs it back strongly.
Ninth minute - Mikaele Tu'u heads to the sideline to have a head wound addressed. Creighton lines up a kick at goal, but misses from a handy angle.
Eighth minute - McDermott runs from the scrum and Campbell makes ground down the right. Reds have penalty advantage...
Seventh minute - Reds lose the ball in midfield, but they're playing an advantage.
Sixth minute - McDermott to feed the first scrum of the game and Reds get a penalty for a wheeling scrum.
Fourth minute - Mikaele Tu'u claims the dropout and charges to halfway. Highlanders into Reds half, but Mikaele Tu'u spills a pass.
Third minute - Hunt slices his kick right of the posts.
First minute - Nic Berry will referee this encounter, as Hunt kicks off for the Highlanders.
McDermott puts up a box kick and Gilbert rushes forward to claim it in the air. Reds are penalised for not rolling away and Hunt will take an early kick at goal.

Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Super Rugby Pacific clash between the Reds and Highlanders at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.
After becoming the first Kiwi franchise to fall to Aussie counterparts during the 'Super Round', the southerners showed their fighting qualities, when they rallied to beat Fijian Drua at Suva for their second win of the season.
To be sure, that fixture was a battle between two cellar-dwelling sides, the result revealed the Highlanders weren't about give up the ghost when confronted by adversity.
