Sunday's embarrassing loss to Cronulla Sharks has some NZ Warriors fans declaring they will stop supporting the club and wanting to sell tickets.
Despite at one stage having a two-man advantage, the Warriors were thumped 29-10 by Sharks, a result that former coach Frank Endacott describes as a low point, while an ex-player struggles to even talk about it.
Endacott's seen some disappointing performances in his time watching the Warriors, but the latest is one of the worst.
"I think we're down at one of the worst low points at the moment," he told Newshub.
Former Warriors forward and ex-NZ Kiwis captain Adam Blair agrees.
"It's a hard one to talk about, but it's just poor," Blair said afterwards.
A big reason is the Warriors were unable to capitalise on having a man advantage for 64 minutes, after Will Kennedy was sent off for a high shot on Reece Walsh.
Initially, they looked likely to make the most of it, scoring from the following set and adding another try moments later - but that was as good as it got.
The Sharks feeding frenzy began just before halftime and continued after the break. The Warriors defence flailed like hapless and vulnerable prey.
"It was execution that certainly wasn't good," coach Nathan Brown said. "It wasn't through a lack of effort, as far as commitment goes, that got them in trouble."
Failing to score when the Sharks went down to 11 men for 10 minutes was the problem.
"It looked like it was the Warriors who had two men out, not the Sharks," Endacott added.
Fans have described it as embarrassing and disgraceful, calling for the team to relocate, with tickets being offered up for the side's return to Mt Smart in July.
"I feel very sorry for the coach," said Endacott. "I think some of the players just aren't first-grade material."
"It's happened now," added Brown. "We've just got to dust ourselves off and go again next week."
You'd hope the only way from here is up.
