Kiwi Steven Adams has won the NBA fan's award for assist of the year, the organisation announced today.
The Memphis Grizzlies centre's hail-mary throw to star guard, Ja Morant in their win over the San Antonio Spurs was judged the best of the season.
With less than a second remaining in the second quarter, Adams fired a length-of-the-court pass to Morant, who caught the ball in mid-air before managing to lob it into the hoop for two points.
His 92-foot dime was also reportedly an NBA record for the longest assist in the league's history.
Adams' Grizzlies were eliminated from the playoffs by Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference semi-finals.
The Warriors will play the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals, with game one on Friday.
