The country's top squash players are back in New Zealand for the first time since the COVID-19 global pandemic.
And Paul Coll and Joelle King couldn't be happier to be reconnecting with family and refreshing after such long stints overseas before focing on the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
It's been a whirlwind 18 months for Coll in particular, winning two British Open titles and for a time rising to world No.1.
But it pales in comparison to the emotions of returning home for the first time in four years.
"I've been running on adrenaline," Coll told Newshub. "It's been so nice to come and see my parents for the first time in four years."
A couple of drinks on Wednesday was the perfect way to catch up with family.
"A few red wines, [I] had to drag mum out of the pub at 11 o'clock."
Coll is using his time back in New Zealand as a chance to refresh for the Commonwealth Games - a competition he has a huge amount of hunger for.
"Probably the most that I've had in any tournament this season," he continued.
"For me, I really get up for New Zealand. I really love that team environment."
For Joelle King, she's embracing family time too after also spending a long stint away.
"Just a lot of tears, a lot of happiness really," she told Newshub. "It's been about three and a half years, a lot has changed."
Something that hasn't is her competitive desire to retain her Commonwealth Games gold medals next month.
"I'm gonna fight hard and try and do everything I can to bring home those medals."
But before that, both Coll and King intend to enjoy the comforts of home.
