Captain Kane Williamson will return to lead the Blackcaps on their upcoming white-ball tour to the West Indies.
A 15-strong squad has been announced, featuring Williamson, and veteran stars Trent Boult and Tim Southee, as well as Devon Conway, all of whom returned to New Zealand, after the three-test sweep by England in June.
The visit will be New Zealand's first since 2014, as their preparations ramp up for the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia, starting in October.
With a tight tour schedule featuring six matches in 11 days across Jamaica (three Twenty20 internationals) and Barbados (three one-day internationals) the selectors have tried to balance a combined squad across both formats.
Leaving the team after the ODI series win over Ireland, bowler Matt Henry and opener Tom Latham also rejoin the squad, while Finn Allen and Michael Bracewell have been rewarded for their strong form with another opportunity in the Caribbean.
The most notable omission is batter Henry Nicholls, who coach Gary Stead said had fallen out of the T20 selection picture, which ultimately cost him his place in the squad.
"It's always exciting to be heading somewhere you’ve not been in a while and I know this group can't wait for the challenge of taking on the West Indies in the Caribbean," said Gary Stead.
"Managing workloads is hugely important this year, with the team playing some form of cricket every month in 2022 - and this applies to both players and staff.
"For Kane, Trent, Tim and Devon, this will be the first time they have played white-ball cricket for New Zealand since last year's T20 World Cup and tour to India, so this trip will be important for them.
"We also have players, such as Michael and Finn, who are relatively new to the international stage, but have really put their hands up for selection when given opportunities. As a selector, it's been great to see these guys push their cases."
Stead will be supported on the tour by batting coach Dean Brownlie and bowling coach Graeme Aldridge.
The Blackcaps will play two T20s and one ODI against Scotland, then two T20s against Netherlands, before they make their way to the Caribbean.
The squad will arrive in two groups in Jamaica, with some traveling from New Zealand and the balance from the Netherlands.
The opening T20 against West Indies takes place on August 11.
