*******
Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live updates of this NRL round 18 clash, as Parramatta Eels host NZ Warriors from Sydney's CommBank Stadium.
Returning from a bye week after their drought-breaking victory over Wests Tigers, the Warriors are back in action against an Eels side battling to find some consistency.
The Warriors are taking to the field for the first time since last week's appointment of new coach Andrew Webster from next year, with players now having the chance to impress their new boss.
But the Kiwi club's return to Australia has also been hampered by COVID-19, and are missing winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak for this week, replaced by Edward Kosi.
In better news though, interim coach Stacey Jones has travelled to rejoin the Warriors in Sydney tonight, all clear after testing positive earlier this week.
Fullback Reece Walsh has returned to the No.1 jersey after missing the Mt Smart homecoming victory with COVID, despite his decision to leave the club to return to Brisbane Broncos next year.
The Eels meanwhile enter this match with three wins and two defeats from their last five matches.
Parramatta are currently sixth on the ladder, having dropped from as high as third earlier this season.
Tonight's clash will be a good chance for Warriors fans to get a look at Eels lock Marata Niukore, who'll join the Kiwi side from 2023.
