Former NZ Kiwis back-rower Kevin Proctor has been sacked by the Gold Coast Titans, after appearing in a video vaping during his NRL club's loss to Canterbury Bulldogs.
Proctor, who wasn't included in the matchday squad, posted a now-deleted Instagram story, appearing to be vaping in a toilet cubicle during the match.
In the seven-second clip, captioned 'Not the halftime vape', he was seen wearing Titans attire, sucking on what looks to be an e-cigarette, before exhaling on camera.
The club said his actions were in breach of both NRL and stadium regulations.
"The Gold Coast Titans have sanctioned Kevin Proctor after being made aware of an incident during yesterday’s round 19 fixture against the Bulldogs," the club said in a statement.
"Proctor has also been released from his commitments with the club for the remainder of the year and will not return to train or play with the squad.
"His actions were in breach of both NRL and Stadium regulations."
He was previously fined $20,000 and received a four-game ban for his involvement in a cocaine scandal, alongside Kiwis captain and then-Melbourne Storm teammate Jesse Bromwhich in 2017.
Proctor, 33, struggled to force his way into the Titans line-up this season, with David Fifita and Beau Fermor preferred in the back-row.
He is expected to head to the Super League next season, with Salford, Wakefield and Hull FC all vying for his signature.
