Kiwi Dan Hooker will mark his return to the lightweight division, with a fight reportedly teed up against an up-and-coming Peruvian at UFC 281.
Claudio Puelles' representative, Iridium Sports Agency, has confirmed 'The Hangman' as his opponent for the much-awaited fight card on November 13.
Hooker will join fellow Kiwi and UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, who headlines the event against former kickboxing rival Alex Pereira.
Hooker is attempting to return to the winner's circle, after two straight losses, with only one win in his last five outings.
His last fight was a devastating first-round TKO defeat against Brit Arnold Allen in his return to the featherweight division in March.
But his fight against the 'Prince of Peru' will see him return to his favoured weight, as he looks to resurrect his career.
The highly regarded Puelles is undefeated in his last five bouts, including a win over UFC veteran Clay Guida, earning Performance of the Night honours.
Puelles, a grappler, is a submission specialist and has won his last three of five fights by kneebar, with wins over Chris Gruetzemacher and Felipe Silva.
Meanwhile, fellow Kiwi Brad Riddell will also compete on the card, and will face Renato Moicano in a 155-pound showdown, according to his opponent's management team, KOReps.
