The Penrith Panthers have clinched their second NRL minor premiership in three years, after an entertaining 26-22 victory over the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
With the scores locked at 22-all and just two minutes left on the clock, Panthers back-rower Liam Martin crossed from close range to secure the side's 19th win of the season.
Penrith will get to celebrate their fourth minor premiership in the club's history at home next weekend against the Warriors, in front of what's expected to be a sold-out crowd.
After a strong start on defence, the Panthers capatalised on attack through centre Stephen Crichton, who swooped on a scrappy pass to score from 60 metres out.
Try-scoring machine Alex Johnston finished off slick work from Cody Walker and Isiah Tass to get South Sydney on the board.
But an error from Latrell Mitchell gave the Panthers field position, and made way for Edwards to race 30 metres to score his eighth try of the season.
Mitchell would make amends soon after though with a sublime flick pass to Walker, who left Edwards in his wake to score underneath the goal posts.
The sides exchanged penalty goals on either side of halftime, before Api Koroisau kicked out of dummy half, only for Jai Arrow to fail the clean up and allow Spencer Leniu to ground the ball.
The Rabbitohs hit back through centre Campbell Graham, who finished off good lead-up work from Keaon Koloamatangi and Mitchell to celebrate his return from injury with a try.
Johnston continued his stunning tryscoring form, when he crossed for another after a brilliant pass from Walker. Mitchell nailed the conversion to give South Sydney the lead.
However, the Panthers would seal the win with Martin's late try, who powered over from close range to wrap up the win and the minor premiership.
