Rugby Championship: All Blacks defeat to Argentina sparks fan outrage in Crusaders country

All Blacks fans are once again hurting, after their team's most recent hit, losing 25-18 to Argentina at Christchurch.

Coach Ian Foster has asked fans to hold tight, but many believe it's just more evidence he's not up to the job.

The joy on the Pumas' faces starkly contrasted the misery of the All Blacks... same for the fans.

Those for blue roared loader than a Puma - those for black, not so much.

The All Blacks have now lost five of the last six games, six of the last eight and are breaking all the wrong records.

Just like Ireland, the Argentinians now have their first win on All Black home soil under their belt.

A stadium full of Cantabrians firmly believes there's only one man for the All Blacks coaching job.

Even Pumas coach Michael Cheika couldn't help himself, when asked about the star performance from Argentina's Pablo Matera, who played for the Crusaders this year.

"Scott Robertson has made a real big mark on Pablo," he said. "It shows the quality of the franchise and the coaching here, and he's come back a heap better player."

Fans online also weighed in on All Blacks fanpages. Some were kinder, insisting Argentina were just better on the night.

Foster himself has asked fans to hang on tight, with their next test against Argentina just six days away, but fan expectations are low, as the team - now considered fourth best in the world - leave Christchurch for Waikato.
