Continuity has been key for the All Blacks' selections to face the Wallabies at Eden Park on Saturday, as Ian Foster backs the side that defeated Australia 39-37 in the series opener.
On Thursday, Foster named his 23 for the Rugby Championship finale, forced into key changes due to the cost of last week's victory.
Jordie Barrett has been named to start in the No.12 jersey, while brother Beauden takes the fullback spot in his place.
Both selections replicate the All Blacks' backline from Melbourne last week, where the All Blacks were forced to reshuffle after injuries to David Havili and Quinn Tupaea.
Meanwhile, Sam Whitelock takes the captaincy in place of the concussed Sam Cane, despite Ardie Savea's return.
Savea had taken on the captaincy when Cane has been substituted throughout the current season. But Foster explains Whitelock will lead the team this week to ease Savea back in after missing Melbourne on paternity leave.
"[Whitelock] led the team for large parts of last week," Foster said. "Ardie wasn't there, on parental leave, and we had a bye before that.
"Ardie's last contact with the team was the Hamilton test. We felt it was better for Ardie just to come back and get back into it, get his mind on his role.
"He's a key part of our game plan. We wanted to give him the week to get back in and get refreshed.
"It takes a bit of adjustment when you miss a week, just feeling like coming back and catching up with where the team's at."
Meanwhile, Foster also emphasised the success of the Barrett brothers switches in Melbourne - where Jordie covered midfield and Beauden fullback - was also something to continue into Saturday.
The selections come at the expense of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, named on the bench, and Will Jordan, who starts on the right wing, playing away from their preferred positions.
"They played two thirds, three quarters of the game with Beauden at fullback and Jordie there [midfield]," added Foster.
"The learnings and experience they had there flow through to this game, and maybe [we'll] make some changes later on.
"Beaudy played three quarters of the game there last week, we felt like those combinations we'd already been using.
"Did we consider Will? Yep, and you might see him slip back there at some point."
