Warriors chief executive Cameron George is unhappy with the NRL's refusal to force more matches at Mt Smart Stadium next season.
The Auckland-based club will host nine games at their spiritual home, with two others going to the regions and another at Brisbane for the 'Magic Round'.
After a tough three years in COVID-19 exile, playing their 'home' games across the Tasman, the club had appealed to other NRL clubs to return the favour for 2023.
Rugby league icon Phil Gould and Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy has led the calls for the Warriors to have more at Mt Smart, as reward for their many sacrifices in recent seasons.
But as it stands, no NRL clubs have agreed to bring their home games to Auckland and George is disappointed more hasn't been done.
"There are still a couple of conversations going on with a couple of teams, but everyone has had their challenges in trying to commit their games over here," he told Newstalk ZB.
"At the moment, we can't get any more scheduled games here. Hopefully, we can jag one more, but we'll see how we go over the next couple of weeks.
"At the end of the day, I was pitching to everyone that was standing long enough to listen about bringing the game here.
"It wasn't about us, it was about the game and the fans across New Zealand. We provide so much talent to the NRL and every club benefits from that."
The NRL have previously confirmed Rotorua will stage the pre-season clash between the Māori All Stars and Indigenous All Stars next year, as part of an initiative to rejuvenate the sport in New Zealand.
But that isn't enough for George, who suggests had it been another team or region that had suffered the way the Warriors have, it would've been a different outcome.
"If they hadn't played in Queensland or Victoria for three years, I'm sure as hell they would have a lot more content than what they normally would.
"I just feel like they're trying to turn the lights on again, but our fans deserve more than that and that's probably the disappointing thing for me.
"I feel like we could've got more content here, if the NRL drove it really hard for us."
