West Indies star Kyle Mayers has stunned the cricketing world with an outrageous shot against Australia, sending social media into a meltdown.
The opener's outrageous back-foot six off all-rounder Cameron Green earned appreciation and plaudits from former players and fans around the world.
Having been sent into bat, Mayers got his team off to a fast start, but it wasn't until the third over where he left fans at Carrara Stadium in awe.
Mayer rocked back on his backfoot and punched Green's short of a length ball over the offside for a ridiculous 105 metre six.
Commentator Mark Waugh ran out of superlatives for the freakish shot, with Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrest struggling to recall a greater strike.
"That is an unbelievable shot. That is a terrific shot," Waugh said.
"You just don't see that shot too often because that is so hard to play. To get that much power, that is a freakish shot. Unbelievable."
"I'm sure there has been a better shot in the history of the game, but I just can't remember it!," Gilchrist tweeted after.
Mayer eventually went on to make a team-high 39 runs, before it wasn't enough, as Australia chased down the 146 target with three wickets remaining and a ball to spare.
