Live updates: Blackcaps v Bangladesh - Twenty20 international tri-series at Christchurch

Blackcaps 142/2 (Target 138)

Blackcaps win by eight wickets - Click here for highlights and a full wrap.

18th over - Phillips tickles a poor ball fine for four. Just a matter of time here. Phillips slaps a six over third man. One more sixer finishes things off!

17th over - Conway at his best right here, stroking a straight drive across the carpet for four more.

15th over - Williamson earns his first boundary of the night after 28 balls. OUT - Williamson through the shot early and it's an easy catch at mid-on. Useful innings, nonetheless.

Kane Williamson c Taskin Ahmed b Hasan Mahmud 30 (29b 1x4 0x6)

14th over - Textbook cover drive for four brings up Conway's fifth T20I 50. 100 up for NZ.

13th over - Conway times one beautifully off his pads for four. Leans back and cuts the next one for four more.

11th over - 50-run partnership up for Conway and Williamson. Seven off the over, as the scoreboard keeps steadily ticking.

10th over - Conway hoists one for six! 107m, that's a biggy off Shakib.

9th over - Mehidy goes for seven runs.

8th over - Shakib gets his line wrong first up and Conway pulls him for four.

7th over - Powerplay underway for NZ. Miraz's first over costs five runs.

6th over - Four runs off Taskin's over.

5th over - Lovely use of the feet by Conway, striking two lusty boundaries off Mahmud. 12 off the over.

4th over - Allen flicks Shoriful casually off his pads for six. OUT - Tries to play the same shot but time it as well and he's taken at the backward square leg boundary.

Finn Allen c Mosaddek Hossain b Shoriful Islam 16 (18b 1x4 1x6)

3rd over - Just two runs off Mahmud's opening over. It's all about wickets for the Tigers, though.

2nd over - Impressive first-up over by Shoriful, just three runs from it.

1st over - Taskin to get us started. 10 off the over, great start NZ.

INNINGS BREAK

20th over - Boult in for the final over. OUT - Taskin skies one to Chapman for Boult's second wicket. Sketchy run, Guptill has time but doesn't hit the stumps. Another run out goes begging, Conway unable to keep the ball in his gloves to knock off the bails. Sohan slams Boult down to mid-on for four. Wide and a single to close us out.

19th over - Sodhi in for the penultimate over. Sohan sweeps for six, the first one of the innings. Bang! Goes again for six, poor short ball given the treatment. 18 off the over, biggest of the match for the Bangers.

18th over - Shakib carves Southee over point for four. OUT - Shakib doesn't pick the slower ball and spoons one to extra cover.

Shakib Al Hasan c sub (MJ Guptill) b Southee 16 (16b 1x4 0x6)

17th over - Boult returns. The Tigers work the singles but it's the boundary rope they desperately need right now. OUT - Boult goes straight through Afif and collects middle and off.

Afif Hossain b Boult 24 (26b 0x4 0x6)

16th over - Milne back into the attack. Eight from the over.

15th over - Phillips into the attack for a cheeky over here. Milne saves four with an impressive dive. Glenn does well, eight runs off the over.

14th over - Yasir cuts Bracewell for the first boundary in several overs. OUT - Yasir hoists one but mistimes it, straight down deep mid-on's throat.

Yasir Ali c Milne b Bracewell 7 (9b 1x4 0x6)

In comes the skipper Shakib.

13th over - Sodhi back. Concedes only four runs. Bangladesh will want to start putting the foot down here.

12th over - Bracewell maintains his miserly cost, just three runs off his over.

11th over - Dropped! Yikes. Yet another easy one goes begging, this time it's Milne at fine leg. OUT - Captain Kane isn't going to make the same mistake. Holds on to a comfy one at midwicket to hand Sodhi his second.

Mosaddek Hossain c Williamson b Sodhi 2 (4b 0x4 0x6)

10th over - Bracewell back. Tight over, four runs from it.

9th over - OUT - Ish Sodhi bowls his first over and soon has his 100th T20I wicket, as Shanto is caught on the deep long-on boundary.

Najmul Hossain Shanto c Chapman b Sodhi 33 (29b 4x4 0x6)

8th over - Bracewell in for the first over of spin. OUT - Easy caught and bowled for Bracewell. Big wicket for NZ.

Litton Das c & b Bracewell 15 (16b 2x4 0x6)

7th over - Power play over, it's been well utilised by the tourists. Neesham in for his first over. Das uses his feet and lofts Neesham back over his head for four. Dicey run! Reserve fielder Guptill had a good look with the underarm but couldn't hit. Shanto would have been well gone. Instead he rubs salt in the wound by blasting another boundary.

6th over - Southee in for his third. Innovative scoop shot over short fine leg for four from the first ball by Das. Shanto joins the act with a cut for four more.

5th over - Milne steps up for his first over. Greeted with a boundary from Shanto. Quickly finds his length and doesn't concede a run the rest of the over.

4th over - Southee again. Shanto lofts one off a thick edge, Phillips runs it down to save the boundary.

3rd over - Boult continues. Shanto slashes one away square for the first boundary. Dropped! Neesham puts down a fairly easy one in the covers and the Kiwis fielding woes from last night roll on. That was the dangerman Das too.

2nd over - Southee in to open from the other end. Chance to Bracewell at cover who lost it completely in the lowering sun and couldn't get a hand to it. OUT - Mehidy spoons an easy catch to Milne at mid-on.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz c Milne b Southee 5 (5b 1x4 0x6)

Southee raps Das' pads first up, big shout goes up. Umpire shakes his head. Shockingly, he doesn't choose to review.

1st over - Trent Boult will do the honours for the Blackcaps. Encouraging early signs of swing for Boult, big edge to get us started through vacant second slip. Five off the opening over.

7pm - Another beautiful clear blue sky at Christchurch, where the crowd have already donned their puffers for the evening. It's going to get chilly, but hey - at least it's not snowing.

6:50pm - The Blackcaps have won the toss and elected to bowl.

Adam Milne replaces Blair Tickner in the only change to the starting XI that lost to Pakistan last night.
