BLACKCAPS 131/1  PAKISTAN 130/7

New Zealand win by nine wickets

17th over - Shah will bowl what should be the last over. Williamson hits the ball off his pads down square leg for the single, and that's the win for the Blackcaps. What a performance.

16th over - Williamson and Conway exchange singles, before the latter whips Nawaz off his pads for two more runs. Blackcaps need just one more run to win.

15th over - Shah is back with his pace bowling. Williamson guides it to third-man for two, before edging it it third-man for another two. Williamson looks to be struggling just a tad with Shah but does well to get off strike. NZ just need six more runs.

14th over - Allen looks to charge Shadab but is beaten in the flight and is stumped by Rizwan for Pakistan's first wicket. Skipper Williamson the new batter in and straight away gets a single to start his innings off. Conway ends the over with a quick two.

13th over - Nawaz resumes but it's much more of the same for NZ, with Conway and Allen happy to take the singles, before the latter smokes a huge six down the ground. Nawaz beats Allen with the final ball of the over.

12th over - Khan continues with his spin, and Allen and Conway happy to just knock it around the park for a couple of singles. Conway tries to slap it through cover but can only find the fielder for no run, before pulling it legside for two runs.

9th over - Khan resumes and looks to be bowling a touch fuller. Conway gets two runs off the first delivery, before a couple dot balls, he reverse sweeps it for four runs. Great shot. Khan goes straighter with the last ball and Conway just nudges it for a single.

8th over - Nawaz to have a bowl now. Conway is lucky not to be run out at the non-strikers end but the bowler couldn't gather the ball cleanly. Both batters happy to take one or two runs this over, with NZ well and truly on top in their chase.

7th over - Allen and Conway exchange singles before the former goes for a big heave but misses it. Allen rocks back and tries again, and this time, smokes Khan for a HUGE six over deep square leg. Allen gets two more runs, before settling for a single on the last.

1st over - Shah will bowl first for Pakistan, with Allen and Conway opening for NZ. Allen drills the first ball back at Shah for no run, before swinging and missing the next. Allen mis-times his shot down the ground but luckily evades a fielder. Just three from the first over.

INNINGS BREAK

PAKISTAN 130/7

20th over - Ahmed tries to flick Southee over the keeper but gets cramped up and scoops it straight to Tickner and he departs for 27. Nawaz attacks Southee first ball and can only pick up Guptill in the field, and the NZ quick is on a hat-trick. Wasim the new batter does well to dig out a Southee yorker and deny the hat-trick. Southee concedes just two more singles and that's the end of Pakistan's innings. Blackcaps will be very happy with their efforts.

19th over - Tickner to bowl the penultimate over. Concedes a single first ball, before bowling a wide the next delivery. Tickner again tries bowling straight and Ahmed picks it up off the pads and smokes it for four runs. Ahmed hits Tickner through the offside for another four runs.

18th over - Southee to continue, and overpitches the first delivery, conceding two runs. Southee tries a yorker and Ali just manages to keep it out. Southee bowls a wide, before his follow up delivery is smoked to long-on for just a single. Southee bowls a yorker to finish the over.

17th over - Santner takes over from Phillips and starts with three straight singles, before tying up Ali for a dot ball. Ali comes down the crease and hits it for a single down to long-on. Santner tries to go too straight and is called for a wide. Ahmed hits a single off the final ball.

16th over - Southee is back and Ali looks to attack him, but Santner does superbly in the field to keep it to a dot ball. Ali again attacks and this time edges behind for four runs. Ali rocks back into his crease and just helps the ball on its way for another four runs. 13 from the over.

15th over - Phillips to even have a bowl now and Ali immediately sends him to the ropes for four runs. Phillips recovers well, conceding three singles off his next four deliveries. But Phillips drops the final ball short and Ahmed smokes it for four runs.

14th over - Ali plays a beautiful shot through cover, but has to settle for just two runs. He goes again, this time straight the ground, but can only pick up Southee. Sodhi gets his first wicket, NZ spinners have their way with Pakistan. Sodhi concedes just three singles to end the over.

13th over - Bracewell continues. Pakistan struggling to get a hold of the spinner, forced to settle for singles. Bracewell fires in at the feet and ends the over with three straight dot balls. That brings his game with the ball to a close at 2/11 off four overs - great spell.

12th over - Sodhi is called for a wide down leg but Conway appeals and Williamson will challenge for caught behind. Snicko picks up something but the ruling is not out...very interesting, Ali was already walking. NZ very unlucky.

11th over - Bracewell starts with a dot ball, before Pakistan's star batter edges the next delivery behind to Conway...visitors falling apart a little here. New batter Ali hits a single to long-on. Bracewell catches Ali's outside edge but it falls safely.

10th over - Santner continues and Khan mishits to long-on and Southee takes the easy catch. Ahmed is the new batter and gets a single off his first ball. Santner bowls a wide but follows up with a dot ball. He's bowling really straight and it's working.

9th over - Sodhi starts with a wrong'un, before Khan smokes the next ball through extra-cover for four runs. Khan tries getting back into his crease to smack the ball on the offside, but the ball may have hit the pad first. Williamson has asked for a review, but it's pitching outside.

8th over - Santner returns, replacing Tickner. Masood cracks Santner through extra cover for four runs, a great shot. Masood again comes down the track to try and hoist Santner, but doesn't get enough of it and Bracewell takes the catch. New batter Khan gets a single off the final ball.

7th over - Sodhi to bowl his legspin now. The openers rotating the strike well, picking up a few singles each. Masood finally looks to launch one, but Chapman just can't quite get to it and falls short. Perhaps should've attacked it more.

6th over - Tickner beats Azam's bat with the first ball. But follows up with a full ball down legside for a wide. Azam makes Tickner pay for the extra ball with a flick off the pads for four runs. Azam gets a single before Masood swivels back and helps it over short fine leg for four runs.

5th over - Bracewell continues and beats the bat first ball. Rizwan comes down the wicket and takes him on, hitting a very high ball but Neesham takes it comfortably for the first scalp. Masood starts his innings with a single, before Azam does the same.

4th over - Tickner gets his first over and starts with two dot balls. Azam gets onto his backfoot to hoist him through midwicket for four runs. A couple singles to each opener follow, before a dot ball to end the over. Good start from the Kiwi quick.

3rd over - Bracewell replaces Southee, so spin from both ends. He opens up with back-to-back wides, before tying up the openers, giving just a single away in his next six balls. Very good comeback from Bracewell to end the over. Nearly a stumping in the last ball.

2nd over - Santner to bowl a bit of spin early on. Rizwan smacks the first delivery off legstump for four runs. Azam gets his first run with a single on the legside. Azam rockets back and smacks his first four of the innings. Good start for Pakistan.

1st over - Southee first up to bowl and beats the edge with the opening delivery. Rizwan blocks two before lofting Southee for four runs on the leg side. Back-to-back boundaries for Rizwan, this time on the offside. Hits the last ball for just a single.

2:58pm - Pakistan openers and NZ making their way onto the field. The weather is absolutely perfect, for what should be a cracker of a rematch.

2:55pm - Blair Tickner has also come in for Trent Boult, so a new-look Blackcaps bowling unit, in a match spin should play a massive part in the result.

2:45pm - Blackcaps welcome back the return of new-dad Mitch Santner to the XI, with Adam Milne dropping out with an injury.

2:42pm - Welcome and thank you for joining us this afternoon. Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bat at Hagley Oval.

Kia Ora, good afternoon and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Blackcaps v Pakistan from Christchurch's Hagley Oval.

A few days after a six-wicket Pakistan win at the same venue, these two sides square off again, as the lead-in to the T20 World Cup in Australia continues.

The Blackcaps' chances at revenge are boosted by the return of Mitchell Santner, who rejoined the squad, after missing the first two matches for the birth of his child.

Santner should slot straight back into the side, but exactly who for is up for debate. Finn Allen should also keep his spot at the top of the order, alongside Devon Conway, after appearing to overtake Martin Guptill for the opening slot.

Meanwhile, with two wins from their two matches, Pakistan should continue to back the side that's got them this far.

After only scoring four in the last match, expect big things from Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan, who's scored six half-centuries in his last nine T20 innings.
