Northland will travel to Christchurch to face Canterbury in the NPC quarter-finals in the evens conference, after they trounced Manawatū 41-24 at Kaikohe on Sunday.
Northland dominated possession and territory to down a tenacious Turbos outfit, out-scoring their opponents six tries to four.
Rob Rush, Jone Macilai-Tori, Matt Moulds, Josh Moorby and Matt Polwart-Matich all got their names on the scoresheet, with Rivez Reihana grabbing a try to go along with his three conversions off the kicking tee.
Canterbury solidified their position atop the conference with an uninspiring 27-21 victory over Otago at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Saturday.
The hosts had a chance to steal the game after the hooter, but opposition captain Billy Harmon won a crucial penalty at the breakdown to seal the win.
Having been slow starters all season, Harmon was pleased with the performance and his team's ability to fight back once again.
"Canterbury versus Otago, it's always one hell of a match and this game was no different," he told Sky Sport post-match.
"We know what this game meant to them, but for us it was about setting a final playoff, we didn't want to give them anything, we wanted to go out there and find that momentum.
"They were desperate and we talked about that at halftime, we had to match them there and I felt like we definitely came out and did that.
"The start of the game has been a tussle for us all season, but we adjust well and we trust ourselves, and we know that we can build back that momentum"
Meanwhile, Wellington crushed Counties Manukau at Pukekohe to confirm their odds conference quarter-finals match up against Hawke's Bay.
The top-ranked Lions ran in 10 tries in their 64-31 demolition of the Steelers, with hooker Asafo Aumua grabbing four himself.
Riley Higgins, Connor Garden-Bachop, Du'Plessis Kirifi, Ruben Love, Nehe Milner-Skudder and Billy Proctor all pinched a try, with the Counties defence unable to stop the barrage of attacks.
The other evens quarter-final will serve as another 'Battle of the Bridge' contest between crosstown rivals North Harbour and Auckland.
Harbour recorded a comprehensive 66-8 win over Southland on Saturday to confirm their second-place position on the ladder.
In the last game of the competition before the playoffs, Waikato beat Bay of Plenty 35-34, which will also serve as the final quarter-final match of the odds conference.
