NZ Warriors forward Josh Curran is under investigation after an alleged incident at a Port Macquarie nightclub last weekend.
The Warriors are aware of the allegation at the coastal New South Wales town and have reported it to the NRL Integrity Unit.
NSW Police have confirmed it involves the assault of a teenage boy, who suffered injuries to his face at approximately 3am Monday, just hours after the NRL Grand Final.
Police are conducting their own investigation using witness accounts and CCTV footage, but have yet to formally charge Curran.
"[Chief executive] Cameron George has confirmed knowledge of an alleged incident involving forward Josh Curran at a licensed premises over the weekend in Port Macquarie, NSW," said the Warriors.
"The club wishes to advise that the incident has been reported to the NRL Integrity Unit and will now await any further information from the NRL investigation."
The Warriors refuse to reveal any further detail regarding the nature of the alleged incident.
Since joining the team from Sydney Roosters in 2019, Curran (23) has been one of the Warriors' best and most consistent performers.
The Sydney-born second-rower has represented Indigenous side three times in the NRL's annual All Star game.
