The All Blacks will play a final pre-Rugby World Cup 2023 warm-up match against South Africa at the neutral venue of London's Twickenham next August.
In their last competitive fixture before next year's tournament,New Zealand will face the reigning world champions on August 25 - two weeks before they kick off the tournament against hosts France at Paris on September 8.
"This match will form an important part of our preparations for Rugby World Cup," said All Blacks coach Ian Foster. "Matches against the Springboks are always hard fought and we are expecting nothing less than a titanic battle on this unique occasion."
The archrivals will meet at a venue considered the game's spiritual home for just the second time in history, after the All Blacks' 20-18 victory in the 2015 Rugby World Cup semi-final.
"The Springboks and All Blacks share one of the greatest rivalries in rugby, and to face them at Twickenham will be an exciting experience for the players and our fans," said South Africa Rugby director of rugby Rassie Erasmus. "I have no doubt it is going to be an epic encounter."
New Zealand currently hold the Freedom Cup, contested between the two nations, after a 35-23 victory over the Springboks at Johannesburg earlier this year.
