The NZ Warriors have taken a break from pre-season training to reconnect with the public and return to their roots.
Those not involved in the Rugby League World Cup, today stepped off the training paddock to have a crack at other jobs and it came with varying levels of success.
The players and coaches tried their hands at jobs far different to what they're used to.
"Who's going to struggle, do you think?" Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson asked. "Well, they all said me."
From warehouse stacking, waterway clearing, road cone laying and coffee making.
"I'm back here, I'm doing some dishes, and making sure things run smoothly," Warriors lock Bailey Sironen said. "That's my job."
Warriors coach Andrew Webster is keen to instill a greater work ethic and arguably most importantly - working hard.
"Obviously, it gives us a good chance to reconnect with the community," Warriors utility Jazz Tevaga said.
"You know, we haven't been home for a while so yeah it's good for the people to see us out here working hard."
"Honestly, between me and you, they're not going to hear about it, but I'm actually enjoying it," Johnson said. "It's pretty cool."
Though, probably not enough to get them to change jobs.
