Kane Williamson and Kyle Jamieson were the only two Blackcaps picked up at last night's Indian Premier League auction.
Both players went for significantly less than in previous years with Williamson bought for over $2 million less than his retainer last year.
Meanwhile, for Jamieson, a return to the IPL is the latest indication he's close to a comeback.
After electing not to make himself available for this year's IPL season, Jamieson was back on the table.
His new destination - Stephen Fleming's Chennai Super Kings.
"It feels like the right option now to go back and experience those conditions," Jamieson said.
It comes on the back of a frustrating year for the pace bowler, who has been sidelined since injuring his back against England in June.
"It helps when you haven't played for about six months," Jamieson said. "That love for the game and wanting to get back on the park certainly increases when you're not playing."
The only Blackcap joining him next year will be Williamson.
Williamson eventually sold to defending champions Gujarat Titans, for his base price of just under $400,000.
The Kiwi's prices paled in comparison to England's Sam Curran who became the most expensive IPL player in history.
Jamieson's price of just under $200,000 is not bothering him though - he's just looking forward to making his Blackcaps return soon.
"Few weeks of club cricket now, so look the recovery is going real good," he said. "I'm pretty close to being back on the park."
Both the Blackcaps and now Chennai Super Kings will both looking forward to that.
