90+8min - Berghuis is pinged for a tackle and the Netherlands players can't believe it. Argentina taking their time to take the free-kick.

Netherlands score out of nowhere! The big target man hasn't been on long, but rises above everyone else to get his head on a cross and find the back of the net. Is there time for another?
80min - Gakpo looks to dribble past a couple and is fouled. Argentina making another change, as Martinez replaces Alavarez up front.
78min - Both teams ringing the changes now with very different intentions, as Argentina look to sure up their defence and preserve their lead by bringing more defenders on.
76min - Gakpo looks to ignite the Netherlands into attack, and goes down, but the referee doesn't blow his whistle. The Dutch will need something very special to comeback from this.

Who else?! Messi tasked with extending Argentina's lead with a penalty after Acuna was taken down. He beats Nopport with a stunning strike to the right of goal - keeper didn't even move.
69min - Ake intercepts a promising looking through ball down the right wing, but it falls back to Argentina. Acuna dribbles it into the box, pulls it back and Dumfries takes his legs out! Penalty!
67min - Netherlands just look very flat on attack after their earlier spell in the opening moments of the half. Depay makes a handy run into the box but it comes to nothing.
65min - Molina does well to keep the ball in play, but can't find a support player, before the Netherlands are awarded a throw-in. De Paul is being replaced.
63min - Messi lining up the free-kick. Netherlands have gone with what looks like a nine-man wall. Messi strikes it well and it JUST goes over, touching the net on its way.
61min - Messi shows great feet to beat a few defenders, before getting it a second time and earning the free-kick just outside the box. He's still got it.
59min - De Paul is in acres of space down the right but the pass just had too much on it, and he can only fire it back across the goal to a Dutch defender.
57min - Acuna does well to evade a couple of tackles down the left wing, before earning the throw-in just inside Argentina's own half.
55min - Blind does just enough to intercept a floating through ball, otherwise an Argentine player was away down the right wing. Netherlands instead are awarded the free-kick.
53min - There's plenty of space for Argentina to attack with Netherlands needing a goal. But they're happy to take their time and keep possession away.
51min - De Paul tries to link up with Messi but the pass is too heavy and the keeper dives on the loose ball. Messi visibly unhappy with the through ball.
49min - Gakpo tries floating the ball across goal but the keeper gathers it in easily. Holland showing more urgency in the opening exchanges of the second-half.

42min - Dumfries goes down in a heap but it's his teammate Timber who is shown a yellow card for a foul as he looked to win back possession. Acuna also shown a card.
40min - Argentina concede the free-kick outside the box to the right. Gakpo lining it up, floats it across but Netherlands are pinged for pushing.
38min - Acuna picks up a well-placed through ball over the top down the left wing, but can't contain it as the Dutch scramble well enough to win it back.
36min - Argentine fans really into it now, singing and spurring their team on after that goal. Ref calls a stop to play after another blow to the head, this time it's de Paul.

Messi magic! The Argentina maestro dribbles across field just outside the box, before laying a beautiful pass to Molina who tucks it home to open the scoring.
32min - Gakpo does well to win the ball back for Holland but his pass is intercepted as they looked to counter quickly. Ball falls to de Paul but his shot goes straight at the keeper.
30min - Argentina coach has been shown a yellow card! He's said something that upset the referee, and even made his way onto the pitch.
28min - Crowd getting a bit restless as the Dutch take their time to get the game going again. Definitely more Argentine fans in the crowd here, or just Messi supporters.
26min - Alvarez and Acuna now getting in each other's way as they tried to retain the ball, but can't prevent it from going out for a Dutch throw-in.
24min - Depay and Begwijn guilty of getting in each other's way with the ball ahead of them, before the latter strikes at goal but it goes well wide.

Lionel Messi's Argentina overcame a tenacious Socceroos outfit in the round of 16, after earlier falling to a stunning defeat to Saudi Arabia in their opening group game.
Messi is still chasing that elusive World Cup trophy to further stake his claim as the best ever, but face a tough task in the form of the high-flying Dutch.
The Netherlands cruised past the highly-rated USA in their round of 16 clash, after finishing unbeaten and top of their group.
Despite boasting some of the greatest players of all time, and having reinvented the game with their 'total football', Holland have yet to win the World Cup.
