Meanwhile, Goffin breaks Eubanks for a second time and will now serve for the first set, leading 5-2.

8:02pm - Organisers have moved Goffin v Eubanks and Halys v Shelton indoors, but still hope to have top seed Casper Ruud on centrecourt later tonight.
7:47pm - Players are now leaving the court again... sigh!
7:43pm - Goffin slides on a slippery line and stays down. Eubanks races to check on his opponents, who limps to his chair.
Replays show he actually slipped on the 'Auckland' branding beyond the baseline.
Rain is falling and players are understandably reluctant to continue in these conditions.
7:42pm - Goffin begins with a double fault, but easily holds for 1-1. Shelton holds serve to trail Halys 4-2.
7:40pm - Eubanks holds serve quickly for an early 1-0 lead.

7:31pm - So the good news is Goffin and Eubanks have just been ushered out onto centrecourt for their scheduled match, so let's just see how much play we sneak in before the next shower.

Looks like they've moved indoors, so at least we'll get through some matches, even if spectators are nowhere to be seen.
5:40pm - And sure enough, the players emerge out on court, sit under umbrellas for a few minutes and then vanish back under the stands for cover, as the rain sets in again.
5:24pm - Latest word is a possible return to court at 5:30pm. Clouds are easing out west, but more rain is still likely.
4:31pm - Bad news, the rain is back and players have left the court. This may require a move indoors or we could carry on (and off) like this all night.

Norrie and Lehecka will begin their third set, after the Czech took the second-set tiebreak. He had momentum, but may now lose that advantage after the break.
On the outside court, Shelton and Halys have not begun their second-round match.
3:34pm - And players are now leaving the court for rain, which could be here for good.
Auckland weather usually comes from the Waitakeres out west and the Newshub newsroom has a great view of the western range... just not right now. There's too much rain to see them and that's a bad sign.
3:19pm - Richard Gasquet (France) beat LL-Joao Souza (Portugal) 7-6(2) 6-2
Gasquet breaks serve to dispense with Sousa and move into the third round, where he will face the winner of Goffin v Eubanks. Next up on the outside court is Quentin Halys (France) v WC-Ben Shelton (USA).
Meanwhile, on centrecourt, Lehecka has stormed to 7-4 victory in the second-set tiebreak over second seed Cam Norrie, forcing a third and deciding set.
Play has been delayed for rain and although players are still under umbrellas, the outlook is not promising.

Norrie quickly holds serve for 4-4 in the first set. Meanwhile, Sousa and Gasquet are 3-3 in the first set, while Mektic/Pavic are a set up and 1-1 in the second against Kiwis Rai/Reynolds.

1:20pm - Norrie and Lehecka begin their warmups. Thankfully, the rain continues to hold much to delight of the hometown fans cheering Norrie on.
1:14pm - Norrie will be taking on Czech qualifier Jiri Lehecka. He should ease past him but top seeds continue to tumble at the ASB Classic.
1:04pm - In the other tie, Wolf has fought back to tie up set two 3-3 after falling the in the opener. Meanwhile, Kiwi-Brit and No.2 seed Cam Norrie should be up very soon.

Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the ASB Classic men's tournament at Auckland's Stanley Street.
The weather bomb that hit the city yesterday and forced play indoors is expected to stick around a few more days to disrupt the tournament, so while organisers have announced an outdoor schedule for Wednesday, you should expect that to change during the day.
