Kiwi lightweight Dan Hooker will have the chance to avenge City Kickboxing teammate Brad Riddell, when he takes on American Jalin Turner at UFC 285 on March 5.
Hooker has revealed to The Mac Life website that the fight has been added to the Las Vegas card, headlined by the heavyweight title bout between Jon Jones and Cyril Gane.
The 11th-ranked lightweight is coming off a dominant TKO victory last November, as he seeks to crack the division's top 10 again, with Turner occupying the current spot above him.
Hooker predicts a high-octane fight and '100 percent chance of chaos', when he takes on the surging American.
With five straight stoppage wins, including an impressive 45-second submission of Riddell last July, Turner has enjoyed a meteoric rise.
He earned a UFC contract on Dana White's Contender Series in 2018, but after losing two of his first three fights, he has turned the corner with several big-name wins.
For Hooker, who has made a name for himself for taking tough match-ups, the fight was an obvious one.
"I think I said he turned the fight down and he was like, 'Aye, man. I didn't turn that fight down', then let's fight then and it worked," Hooker told The Mac Life, "Fishing with dynamite, baby.
"He's in the top 10," he continued. "We kind of just cracked the rankings or whatever.
"I think everyone knows me, I try to target the best guy. I try to target the highest person that you possibly can and that's Jalin Turner.
"It's a good fight, No.11 v 10. Get myself back in the Top 10, it's exciting."
The card is also expected to feature a women's flyweight title bout between current champion Valentina Schevchenko and Alexa Grasso.
