The Tactix have blitzed Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic to record their third consecutive win and move to the top of the ANZ Premiership standings.
Just 24 hours after their dramatic one-goal win over the Pulse, the Tactix rode the hot hand of shooter Aaliyah Dunn to a comprehensive 58-41 victory in Rangiora.
Dunn sank all 43 of her attempts on goal for a staggering 100 percent success rate, as the Magic defenders struggled to find an answer for the Tactix's new-look attack.
English import Laura Malcolm continued her impressive start to her debut campaign. Kimiora Poi and Te Paea Selby-Rickit (14/17 goals) were both outstanding, while their twin towers in defence - Jane Watson and Karin Burger - made life miserable for the Magic offence.
Trailing by a goal after the first quarter, Dunn caught fire in the second to power the Tactix to a seven-goal halftime advantage. That grew to 10 by the end of the third quarter and essentially killed off the contest.
The Tactix will try to make it four-straight, when they travel north to face Northern Stars in Auckland on Sunday, while the Magic will look to get back on track - also against the Stars - on Saturday.
Tactix 58 (Dunn 43/43, Selby-Rickit 14/17) Magic 41 (Ekenasio 16/20, Mes 25/27)
