New Zealand Motorsport will bid a 'flying farewell' to its spiritual home this weekend, with the last ever races to be run at the famed Pukekohe Park Raceway, before it's redeveloped by Auckland Thoroughbred Racing.
The forecast for Pukekohe this weekend - mainly fine, with a chance of thunder.
V8 veteran Angus Fogg first raced at Pukekohe around 40 years ago in a mini. This weekend,he'll be taking his 1970 Ford Mustang on one last 800 horsepower trip down memory lane.
"I've made so many friends," Fogg told Newshub. "So many wild parties, great races, massive crashes."

"We come here to race," he said. "Every lap's a winning lap… put our head down and go, so lookout."
The muscle cars will be among nine different classes competing this weekend, including the Super trucks, who will line up on the grid for the first time in eight years.
But in terms of sheer speed, they're no match for Glenn Smith, holder of the all-time lap record for both the old, and redesigned courses.
He's back to ensure his name remains in the history books.
"We had to come and make sure we keep it," Smith said. "It's special really. That's forever."
Pukekohe Park Raceway first hosted motorsport in the early 1960s and after 60-plus years, the track is about to be put out to pasture by its owners - Auckland Thoroughbred Racing.
"The main thing I'll remember and take with me are the people," noted Fogg. "People on the hill when back in the day there were tens of thousands."
Hopefully Pukekohe's flying farewell can thrill the crowds one last time because, as the song goes, it's better to burn out than to fade away.
