A win on Friday night against Western Sydney Wanderers will all but secure an A-League playoffs berth for Wellington Phoenix.
Anything less means confirmation of a top-six spot will come down to the final game of the season against Macarthur.
Victory in Sydney would cap off an eventful week for the Phoenix, after coach Ufuk Talay announced his imminent departure as coach and assistant Giancarlo Italiano was confirmed as his successor.
To do so, they'll need to turn around a poor run of results, with the side winless since March 12.
"Everything's in our hands," said Talay.
They're hoping to get the balance right against the Wanderers, although they'd prefer.to have locked up their post-season spot much earlier.
"It's disappointing that it's as close as it is now," said Tim Payne.
Out of the 12 teams in the competition, 11 can still mathematically make the cut.
"It's definitely the tightest league I've seen, probably anyone's seen," said Phoenix forward Kosta Barbarouses.
And they're not exaggerating. The Phoenix are sitting fifth, with Sydney FC right there tied with them on points.
And it's just as close with the chasing pack, with six points up for grabs with two games remaining.
But the Phoenix are embracing the challenge.
"The next two are definitely going to feel like finals," said Barbarouses.
Talay adds: "Hopefully we don't let it go down to the final game of the season and we can get the job done against Western Sydney."
Strap in, Phoenix fans - it could be a bumpy fortnight.
