Ryan Fox has finished his final preparations before the Masters, with the Kiwi finishing in the top 10 of the par-three contest before his Augusta debut tomorrow.
He even chose someone extra special to be his caddie, teaming up with his father, Grant.
"To share this moment, that's what's cool about this moment," Ryan said. "That's the cool thing about this tournament, the par-three tournament, as well, is to share it with family."
Despite knowing all about big moments, the former All Black told Sky Sport he decided to take a back seat.
"I'm going to do the best caddie trick - keep up and shut up," Grant said.
And it seemed to work. Fox finished tied for fourth, giving him some confidence before making his Masters debut.
"I feel the game's in a good place and I look forward to getting out and giving it a go over the next few days," Ryan said.
Like Fox, Rory McIlroy is also chasing the green jacket, the only thing missing from his trophy cabinet.
But despite the stakes, the two friends weren't taking anything too seriously.
"Couldn't meet a nicer guy," McIlroy said. "Just so good. We talked every hole we played. He likes to chat which is good because it keeps it loose out there."
And while Fox will focus on what he can do in the next few days, his father as proud as ever.
"For him, as a young boy, having a dream, took him a while to get here, but he's here now," Grant said.
And tomorrow, that dream will become a reality.
