Kiwi Ryan Fox has ridden a rollercoaster final round to finish even par in his US Masters debut at Augusta National.
Beginning the round at one under, the world No.37 logged two double-bogeys, a bogey and four birdies - including a near ace on the par-three 16th - for a one-over 73.
Forced to complete the rained-out third round earlier in the day, Fox hit into a greenside bunker at the 16th, then three-putted to finish with a five that undermined any hopes of a top-10 finish at the iconic Major.
He had birdied the same hole during his second round and almost went one better in the fourth, as his tee shot landed and rolled to within centimetres of the cup for an easy tap-in.
After birdying the second hole, Fox gave back three shots on the next two holes, birdied the eighth and ninth, then lost those shots with another implosion on the four-four 11th, before his finishing flourish to finished tied for 26th.
Meanwhile, rock-steady Jon Rahm - channeling Spanish great Seve Ballesteros on his late hero's birthday - has survived a marathon day to score an emotional win, denying LIV Golf a watershed victory.
Rahm, who started the day four off the lead, rallied behind a final round three-under 69 for a winning total of 12-under 276 and a decisive four-shot victory over LIV standardbearers Brooks Koepka and evergreen Phil Mickelson.
The win was Rahm's fourth this season, earning him a second career Major to go along with his 2021 US Open title.
With the victory Rahm also reclaims the No.1 world ranking from defending champion Scottie Scheffler.
