Kia ora, good afternoon and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of this Super Rugby Pacific round six encounter, as the Hurricanes host Western Force in Palmerston North.
After dropping their first game of the season to the Blues, the Hurricanes are now unbeaten in their last two and have the chance to make it three from three this afternoon.
However, All Blacks rest orders have dictated that the Hurricanes be without skipper Ardie Savea, seeing Dane Coles come into the starting side as captain.
Jordie Barrett, fresh from a week with Melbourne Storm in the NRL, also returns to the lineup, while rookie outside backs Daniel Sinkinson and Harry Godfrey are given their first Hurricanes starts on the right wing and at fullback respectively.
For the Force, a bulk of the side from last week's defeat to the Blues remains in place.
Halfback Gareth Simpson will lead the side in the absence of Michael Wells, who has returned home to Australia.
The Force do boast a number of overseas players worth watching, notably in ex-Kiwi pair Toni Pulu and Chase Tiatia, as well as Argentina prop Santiago Medrano, and English centre Sam Spink.
Victory today would see the Hurricanes overtake the Brumbies into second place on the ladder, or conversely lift the Force into the top eight.
