Black Ferns Sevens have cemented their spot in the semi-finals of the Hong Kong sevens with another dominant display on Sunday morning (NZ time).
After blitzing through pool play with demolitions of Hong Kong, Canada, and Great Britain, the NZ women recorded yet another emphatic win in the quarter-finals, brushing Canada again for a second time at the tournament by 45-14.
The win secures a semi-final date against Fijians at 7:05pm, while Australia face Great Britain on the other side of the draw.
The Ferns raced to a 28-0 halftime lead courtesy of tries to Kelly Brazier, Risi Pouri-Lane, Jorja Miller, Michaela Blyde, then closed out the contest with ease in the second stanza, conceding a couple of late consolation tries.
They'll have captain Sarah Hirini back in the fold, after the captain sat out the last of her three-game suspension for a collision in the opening game of the tournament.
Equally impressive were the All Blacks Sevens, who booked a spot in their semi-final by defeating Argentina 24-10.
First-half tries to Leroy Carter, Sione Molia and Akuila Rokolisoa gave New Zealand a 19-5 lead at the break, before Xavier Harris completed the victory before fulltime.
New Zealand will face either France or Spain in their semi-final, looking for a spot in the tournament decider later on Sunday.
