All Blacks Sevens have secured their place in the final of the Singapore Sevens with a 19-10 win over old foes Fiji.
The NZ men never trailed in the semi-final, moving in line for a second straight title, after their triumph in Hong Kong last week.
They will play Argentina in the final later Sunday night (NZ time), who got the better of Samoa 24-19 in extra time of the first semi-final.
Samoa's defeat also means New Zealand have qualified for next year's Paris Olympics.
The New Zealanders opened the scoring through a penalty try, with the referee ruling a shoulder charge by had cost Regan Ware a probable try out wide, dealing a double blow to the Fijians with a yellow card to Waiser Nacuqu.
They struck again almost immediately, with Moses Leo cutting back inside of Akuila Rokolosia to give his side a 12-0 lead, which was closely followed by another by Ware.
The Fijians replied with a try to Nacuqu right on the stroke of halftime to reduce the NZ lead to 19-5 at the interval
Talacolo powered over Fiji for the only try of the second half, as All Blacks Sevens' defence helped them close out victory.
Earlier, New Zealand advanced with a 22-10 quarter-final win over Great Britain.
The underdogs dominated the early stages of the first half, but couldn't capitalise on all their possession with Akuila Rokolisoa making them pay.
Rokolisoa raced away from one of several Dylan Collier steals to open the scoring, before speedster Leroy Carter also went over.
Amanaki Nicol grabbed a try right before halftime to give New Zealand a comfortable 17-0 lead at the break.
A Brady Rush yellow card offered Great Britain some reprieve, which allowed Will Homer to score with a numerical advantage.
With Rush still limping off at the time Homer crossed, the referee awarded Great Britain a penalty straight after their score.
But Regan Ware would go almost 70 metres from another turnover to put the result beyond doubt and safely book their passage.
Great Britain scored a consolation try through Femi Sofolarin, but that would only flatter the scoreline defeat.
New Zealand will play Fiji in the second semi-final at 8:35pm, with Samoa and Argentina contesting the first right before.
