The Northern Stars are fighting to stay in contention for the ANZ Premiership playoffs, with only two rounds left in the domestic competition.
The side now must win every game if they want a shot at the 2023 title, but having crumbled under pressure in the past, they are trying to take it one game at a time.
The Northern Stars are chasing a spot in the big dance, but because they're not currently leading the ANZ Premiership, each game is now a must-win.
The Mystics and Pulse have all but locked up the top two spots, meaning an elimination playoff against one of them is looming as the Stars only route back to the Grand Final.
Not that the coach is entertaining any of it.
"The pressure is on," Stars coach Kiri Willis said.
"If you're thinking about the result or the ladder or if we will be in the finals, then you're not focusing on your job right here right now."
But for some, that's easier said than done. The Stars lost last year's Grand Final to the Pulse, and they want redemption.
"We want to be back there again like every other team, but I think we have a good group and we've been together for a few years, so the want and the desire is burning," Gina Crampton said.
But the Stars need to get there first, starting on Monday night against the Southern Steel. Win that and they'll be one step closer to showing off their moves in another Grand Final.
