Canoeng: Aimee Fisher qualifies fastest for Canoe Sprint World Cup final

Dame Lisa Carrington and Aimee Fisher are through to the final of the K1 500 after winning their respective semi finals at the Canoe Sprint World Cup in Hungary overnight Saturday (NZ time).

New Zealand's top female paddlers will go into the final with the two fastest times after Fisher posted 1m 54.33s in her semi-final, just ahead of Carrington's 1m 55.65s.

Carrington had three races in one day after also competing in the K4 semi final and final.

The New Zealand K4 crew of Carrington, Alicia Hoskin, Olivia Brett, and Tara Vaughan won bronze in their final.

New Zealand para-canoeist Scott Martlew won silver in the KL2 Men's 200 event.

The K1500 final takes place overnight Sunday.
