Kiwi Ryan Fox has struggled on the second day of the PGA Championship at New York's Oak Hill East Course, dropping down the leaderboard to a tie for 19th place, when he left the course.
Starting the day in sixth, after a two-under 68 opening round, Fox, 36, shot a three-over 73, dropping 13 places, but is comfortably clear of the projected cut-line of five-over par at the completion of his second round.
Beginning on the back nine with five consecutive pars, Fox faltered before the turn, with back-to-back bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes. He made up ground with a birdie on the 17th, only to falter with another bogey on the 18th.
Fox began the front nine with three more pars, but then bogeyed the fourth, before limiting the damage with five straight pars to finish the round.

He sits in a 12-way share of 19th place, with the likes of Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington, Dustin Johnson and Mito Pereira, all at one-over par.
