This year's Netball World Cup in Cape Town will have a huge Kiwi influence that reaches far beyond the Silver Ferns.
Tonga, Fiji and Wales will all have Kiwi mentors, including two ANZ Premiership coaches who want to gain more international experience.
And with Silver Ferns coach Dame Noeline Taurua's future up in the air, it's come at just the right time.
After attempting to guide the Pulse to their fourth title in five years, coach Yvette McCausland-Durie will switch her focus to the World Cup, where she'll join Fiji as a specialist coach.
"It's a really good challenge for me around what it takes internationally and to be engaged in a World Cup," McCausland-Durie told Newshub.
"I've never been to one before, so looking forward to it."
She's also looking ahead to life after South Africa.
Dame Noeline hasn't committed to staying in the role beyond the World Cup, so it could be time for a few coaches to update their CVs.
"You never say never," she added. "Opportunities come at different times and in different ways, and it's just about having a readiness about you."
McCausland-Drurie certainly has the pedigree, having led the Pulse to three ANZ Premiership titles.
But she's not the only one looking to improve her skill set. Steel coach Reinga Bloxham will also be at the World Cup, as a specialist coach for Wales.
"It will be a little bit different seeing the Silver Ferns walking around and I'll be in my Welsh uniform," Bloxham admitted.
Bloxham recently brought up her 100th game as head coach with the southerners, but admits international netball is the ultimate goal.
"That's the ultimate opportunity as a coach, to try and aspire to be that Silver Ferns coach, so it's in the back of my mind."
